Christa Pike met her end in Tennessee on Tuesday. The US Supreme Court denied her final plea to halt the execution. This marks Tennessee's first female execution in over two centuries. Media reported Pike remained composed in the hours before the execution. The execution followed the denial of clemency by the governor.
