Au Vodka, a well-known UK vodka brand created in Swansea, has agreed to a £500m takeover offer from US giant Sazerac.

The business was originally started by the ballboy who was famously kicked by Chelsea player Eden Hazard. Sazerac, which is known for owning BuzzBallz, is buying the enterprise in a transaction that will bring a £500m windfall for the founders.

The major payout marks a significant milestone for the Swansea company since its initial launch. Under the terms of the agreement, Au Vodka will become part of Sazerac's spirits lineup.
